My Top #3 Secrets for Healthy Social Media Habits

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙩 ..... and it felt so good!!


I enjoyed 4 days of 𝙉𝙊 social media or phone service over the holidays. I soaked up nature, read books, ate good food & enjoyed nourishing convos with special people.


When was the last time you had a social media detox?


If 2020 has shown us anything, it’s that we can all survive on an emotional connection-level using the power of technology and namely social media. I do love social media as it allows me to run my business 100% online from wherever I am - and for that, I will be forever grateful.


Be careful - #boundaries

But one thing I’ve learnt is that social media boundaries are important too, like all things in life.


Three years ago while attending a conference in Las Vegas, a speaker encouraged us all to avoid checking our social media (and technology in general) for the first hour after waking. This allows you to get ready for the day and set your intentions before being bombarded with other people’s requests. It made total sense to me. Since that day I have worked on avoiding my socials for at least one hour after waking and on school days I wait until my kids are on the school bus. For the past 12 months, I have also had my notifications off for Instagram, Facebook and Messenger, which allows me to the CHOICE to consciously go into the app to check on things.


Never stop learning

I’m a student of life, and I’m open to evolving and improving myself as a person. I recently read this 3-2-1 bedtime routine from Mel Robbins and loved it!!

Practice the 3-2-1 bedtime routine:

3 hours before you go to bed, 𝙣𝙤 food

2 hours before, 𝙣𝙤 work

1 hour before, 𝙣𝙤 screens


This will now be a new habit I begin to work on in 2021.
